Observe a Birth Chart Without Interpreting It:

I used my birth chart for observation – here are some initial things I noticed

I noticed that the Ascendent is Capricorn
The right half of my chart is very full with planets but the left half is very empty
The 9th house contains 3 planets – jupiter, saturn and venus
The 10th house contains 2 planets – mercury & the sun
Ketu is retrograde in the 1st house
Moon is in the 12th house
      Moon sign is Sagittarius

Research Your Sixth-House Ruler and Its Bodily Domain

My 6th House ruler is Gemini, with the ruling planet Mercury.
I have no planets in my 6th House, so the energetic force is expressed through the ruling planet – Mercury.
Mercury also sits in Libra, in my 10th house, along with the sun. Mercury is also retrograde. This is related to career/public life. Mercury & the sun being in Libra can be indicative of a lot of mental and physical energy going into career/work life and recognition.
This is quite interesting, because Mercury is also associated with the nervous system, and when out of balance, an overactive or restless mind. In retrograde, this can also be associated with deep and steady thoughtfulness. Gemini is associated with breath, shoulder, hands – all things that can get compressed and tight with overwork, especially when working on a computer. My biggest health (mental/physical) issues throughout my life have always revolved around overwork- from burnout and stress to pain in my shoulders and wrists from computer overuse. I have always tended towards being a workaholic, and seeing the importance of regular breaks, stretching and breathing reflected in my chart reinforces what I “know” keeps me feeling a lot healthier. Knowing that the tendency to put so much of my energy into career/work is part of my natal chart also reinforces the knowledge that learning to balance that out is part of this lifetime’s lesson – such as finding ways to use that natural tendency by putting that energy into more rejuvenating and aligned efforts that dont lead to stress/burnout.

Erin, the right side of my chart is also “heavy” – everything but Moon and Ketu, for me, are in houses 1-6. It will be interesting to learn what that means for us!

I like how you’re doing all your posts in one message thread… I might add that in to my system. My 6th House ruler is also Mercury, but through Virgo. And I have Mars in my 6th House, so some different influences there.

Erin – Love your connections – Mercury with nervous system, Gemini with breath, shoulders, hands. Interesting connections to work, balance vs. over-work. Thank you!
