      Career and service:
My work as a Medical Astrologer are valued deeply because I am known for giving a perspective that is beyond the realm of supplements. By helping clients attune to a deeper and more personalized wisdom, I am recognized and I am honoring the lineage that I am a part of.

      Lifestyle and wellness:
By learning more about the backdrop of the philosophical context of why I am practicing Ayurveda and Yoga, I am attuning to nature, therefore, my wellness enhances.

      Body and physical health:
My body-mind is restored because I am moving based upon the science of life rather than the conditioning of the times I live in.
Creativity and learning: Because I am in alignment with life, creation flows through me because life is here to create.

      Relationships and community:
My community is refreshed by the inclusion of Ayurveda into my Yogic perspectives and I share it with the teachers I am in community with. Because of this, they share it with others and the greater community at large is receiving a transmission that touches lives near and far.

      Essence and spiritual life:
Something about knowing the flow of nature keeps me but only one deep inhale and exhale away from being deeply rooted and present in any given moment. That presence connects me with the everything that is in any of the any given moments.

        Practice 1

I noticed that the room I am in is quite hot. It really took over the 5 minutes as it took my mind to a gentle contemplation about how I have been feeling more tired lately than usual. Since I do client work in this room, it clicked in where the extra sleepiness is coming in, from the heat, bringing a touch of unnecessary “exhaustion.”
I also noticed that my “ego” is feeling annoyed that I have done much of my training and I left this class to do at the end. I did it on purpose because I know sometimes I go fast with things so circling back would be mandatory. It was wise of me, and yet, I still was annoyed. LOL

          Practice 3

Wow, in contemplating my dosha’s I realized how much more balanced I am now than I was when I first started this program. (For anyone reading, I am close to being done but left completing the foundation classes for now. I watched the videos but left completing it to now so I would do the videos again.)
I definitely have realized how much more Kapha I am. Definitely a good combination of Pitta in there as well. What is fascinating for me is how I think so differently about the dosha’s now. Like my mind thinks in percentages, which honors the fact that everyone’s dosha’s vary, even if we have “3 types.”

            Lesson 2

I am here to gather experience and data about existence to assist others in clarity and the realization of wholeness.

The one fear that sometimes keeps me from this is having to “learn more” before I share what wisdom already exist within me.

              Lesson 2: Practice 2

Solid was the word that came up the most.
The surprising word was kind. Not that I don’t think I am kind, but I tend to seek precision and clarity and in the past, it has been seen as not so kind so I feel thankful for this reflection.

It shows that my desire to be smoother in HOW I share in a caring manner has paid off.

                Lesson 2: Practice 3

Pace is slow, steady, smooth, and gracious, the effort is concentrated, yet gentle and repetitive, the practice is grounding, centralizing (focus on drawing in towards the midline and bones) and the breath is focused on the intake of Prana and noticing how it moves.

                  Lesson 3; Practice 1

                  Thoughts. lol
Just coming back to do this course, one lesson a day, starting in the morning has shifted the quality of my mind and it’s only day 3.

I wasn’t feeling imbalanced before, but I feel even more mentally silent now!

                    Lesson 3: Practice 2

I feel really connected with all of them truly.
If I had to choose one, it would be space.

I can feel that being somewhere, up high, feeling the Sun rising in its warmth and looking over the tree tops would enhance the space for sure though.

                      Lesson 3: Practice 3

In Jyotisa class today, I felt like I could give a lot of clarification to what was being said.
Instead of saying something and feeling like I had to react quickly, I made a PDF and invited someone to make a group so we could all connect, share, and have solidarity in the process within the class.

                        Lesson 4: Practice 2

I found this interesting. Because I have practices that are not Yoga or Ayurveda that has a different worldview. I guess the one for me is spiritual power. I definitely think I’ve been destructive in the past and am not closed to it in the future.
It just makes me think about my ancestors defending themselves from enslavement and the idea that would be tamasic is interesting to let roll around in my mind.

                          Lesson 4: Practice 1

Honestly, without this prompt, I would have gone through lots of rajasic moments in the day.

My morning started with immediately gathering information with my headphones on essentially. I was on track to “get a lot done,” but listening to the lesson gave me many moments of pause and slow down. I essentially became more and more Sattvic throughout the day. I had work, study, and then around 3pm I began to wind down. Oiled my hair and body really slowly. Read a little bit, reflected on this lesson, and laid down to relax. Today I am feeling quite refreshed because of those choices.

                            Lesson 5: Practice 1

Because I am currently clearing out my liver and gallbladder, my bowels are a bit “Chala” or mobile.
My mind feels “Laghu” or light.
My mind also feels “Visada” or clear.

It is still morning so I am going to continue to observe but feeling really good coming back to this course and recommitting to a deeper attunement.

                              Lesson 5: Practice 2

It would be inauthentic to answer this question because it is no where close to my 1st time.
However, what I can say, the most difficult thing for me has always been in understanding how to feel the prakruti underneath the vikruti in the pulse to assist in my assessment of the dosha.

The present moment constitution (vikruti) feels like it makes sense to me most times, but pulling on the thread the is beneath it, when precise, is so so valuable.
