Using the degrees on my birth-chart sheet, I calculated an Aries Navāṃśa ascendant, with the Moon in Taurus in the second house. My birth-chart Lagna lord, Jupiter, occupies Aquarius in the Navāṃśa eleventh house. Mars, the ruler of the Navāṃśa ascendant, occupies its own sign of Scorpio in the eighth house.

What surprises me is that the Moon occupies its exaltation sign in the Navāṃśa. I am exploring this as a symbolic invitation to reflect on nourishment, emotional steadiness, and the sensory experiences that help me feel grounded. In my own life, I notice that tending to nourishment, rest, and daily sādhanā supports my well-being.

Jupiter’s placement in the eleventh house gives me another question to carry forward: how does the wisdom I cultivate through personal study become something I share through community? I notice this is something I am bringing forward and co-creating with my community abroad in Malta through the upcoming pilgrimage. Mars in Scorpio also invites reflection on the sustained effort involved in deeper inquiry and transformation.

I am beginning to see how the Navāṃśa adds another perspective to the birth chart. I want to continue distinguishing the calculated placements from their possible meanings, allowing my own observations to guide what resonates.
