    Class 2, begin
    Practice:
V- the skin as of now is smooth, warm, little dry. The skin changes during the dry and cold winter. It gets effected when going barefoot in the house on tiles or wood floor, going outside without a hat, scarf and gloves, by eating dry, cold, crunchy foods.
P- right now, prone to eczema on hands, hot body temperature, get red easily, sensitive to light. The eczema is more severe during dry and humid heat, as well as during dry winter. bright sunlight, alcohol and caffeine consumption add to the outbreak. Freckles are building up on the skin during the summer especially after eating spicy meals. Warm or room temperature meals help reduce the heat.
K- Right now the skin feels cool but can increase rapidly once outside during hot summer. The skin is well hydrated and more on the light color side. Juicy looking. The skin suffers during dry, cold, wet weather and by eating lots of dairy products, cheese, carbs and wheat.

    Part 2 Reflect:
    1) All of my clients have more then 1 dosha skin type. Those can change from season but also can change during the season. For example, one of my more Pitta client has sometimes hot eczema(more inflammation in the body due to lifestyle) and sometimes dry eczema(specially during dry, cold winter month, but also when the summer is dry and hot)

    2) Kumkumadi is contraindicated during pregnancy because saffron stimulates the pelvic and uterine blood circulation. This can cause premature uterine contractions.
The veerya and vipaka are hot and pungent. This heating and penetrating quality acts as a catalyst that enhances tissue absorption. It stimulates circulation and helps therefore the metabolic process. Saffron penetrates deep into the tissue arousing the blood and therefore stimulation the heart.

3)Internally I would recommend Manjistha. The Rasa is sweet, bitter and astringent. The veerya is cooling and the vipaka is pungent. The sweet an d bitter taste pacifies Pitta. Astringent and bitter pacifies Kapha. Manjithata has an infinity for cooling, cleaning and clearing the blood from toxins, excess Pitta heat and inflammation. Manjistha circulates and invigorates the blood helping the liver and bhrajaka Pitta.
Externally I would recommend swimming in the lake. Exercise is helpful for invigorating Kapha and cool the Bhrajaka Pitta

4)I’m sharing this photo of my clients hand with eczema during the summer
