Welcome to Institute of Āyurvedic Medicine. Institute of Āyurvedic Medicine’s mission is to make quality Āyurvedic education accessible to the people who need it most.

We exist to transmit a lineage of Āyurveda — we are not here to sell a credential. We built this school because we’ve seen what happens when real education stays locked behind geography, cost, or circumstance, and we made it our mission to open a door for the people standing on the other side of it. So we make quality Āyurvedic education accessible to those who need it — not as a boutique school, but as a community service, intentionally small, run by real people with limited resources reaching as many students as we can, as well as we can. Enrolment is an invitation into a shared vision and path, not an entitlement: it grants access to instruction and to the Institute’s proprietary Content for personal educational use only, and it carries real obligations in return — courtesy toward fellow students, faculty, and staff; honesty in your own work; confidentiality within the community; and conduct consistent with our standards, both on and off the platform.

Tuition and fees are non-refundable, support the community as a whole rather than any one student, and do not purchase unconditional access, certification, professional outcomes, or an open-ended claim on the Institute’s time — enrollment secures your place in a program under the terms in effect at the time, not a permanent entitlement regardless of how much time has passed. Curriculum, policy, and pricing evolve as our mission and the field require, and continued use of the Services means you agree to the current version of these Terms, not the one you first read.

Where a student’s conduct — dishonesty, disrespect, harassment, or taking more from this community than they give to it — threatens the balance, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate enrolment, without refund and without a fixed sequence of warnings, whether the conduct occurs in class or elsewhere the community shows up together. The Institute is not a substitute for licensed medical care, does not guarantee certification or professional outcomes. This document reflects who we are and how we intend to stay standing for everyone this medicine is meant to reach.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our products and services (“Services”). Your use of our Services is also subject to our Disclaimers, our Privacy Policy, and additional terms that may apply for certain products or services. By using our Services, you are agreeing to our terms. Please read them carefully.

USING THE SERVICES.

To access or use our Services, you must be 16 years or older. You may not access or use our Services if you are a competitor of ours. In order to access and use certain products or services, you must create an account and provide certain information about yourself. Your account is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You are responsible for keeping your account password a secret. You will not share an account with anyone else and you will follow our terms and the law. You are responsible for all activities that occur on your account and you agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to close your account at any time for any or no reason. If you purchase any of our paid Services (e.g., Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program, Professional Ayurvedic Practitioner Program, courses, or other educational programs) (“Premium Services”), you agree to pay us the non-refundable applicable fees and taxes and agree to additional terms that govern your use of the Premium Services.

a) Educational Programs and Services.

Our educational programs and services are provided through online, recorded, live, and/or other educational content and experiences, as applicable to the program or service purchased. You are responsible for managing your own account, including maintaining your login credentials and keeping your account information current. Tuition, enrollment fees, administrative fees, and other applicable fees are non-refundable except where expressly stated otherwise in writing by Institute of Āyurvedic Medicine or required by applicable law.

By using our Services, you agree to not download, reproduce, distribute, share, sell, teach, sublicense, or otherwise provide access to any course materials or other Content to anyone else unless you are given written consent by us.

b) Active Student Model.

Effective September 1, 2026, all students participate in our Active Student model. Active Student status is the mechanism by which a student remains connected to their program and the Institute beyond the period covered by tuition, including continued access to student resources, student portal, student support, and other opportunities available to active students.

The Active Student model is designed to accommodate variation in a student’s pace of life while preserving the student’s continued connection to the Institute. Maintaining Active Student status in accordance with the policy then in effect is the student’s responsibility.

Tuition paid for a program does not create an indefinite entitlement to access, support, mentorship, instruction, or other Institute resources beyond what was agreed to at the time of enrolment.

c) Community Standards.

Institute of Āyurvedic Medicine is a community, and enrollment carries an obligation to participate in that community with respect and good faith. Each student agrees to treat fellow students, faculty, and staff with courtesy and respect, to submit only the student’s own original work, to hold confidential information shared within the community in confidence, and to refrain from copying, distributing, or reproducing the Institute’s proprietary materials.

Students agree to speak only from their own experience and not claim to represent the views, experiences, or intentions of other students or of the Institute. Each student’s journey is unique, and no individual student speaks on behalf of this community.

We do not tolerate bullying, harassment, dishonesty, intimidation, threats, or abusive conduct directed at any member of our community. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our Services where a student’s conduct is inconsistent with these standards or adversely impacts our students, faculty, staff, or community.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.

We reserve all of our intellectual property rights in our Services, including all of our written, audio and video content (“Content”). You may use our Content only for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to copy, reproduce or share our Content, create derivative works of our Content, or use our Content for any other use without our written permission. Using the Services does not give you any ownership to our Services or our Content and you have no right or interest in our Content except the right to use our Content in the manner described here.

CERTIFICATION.

Enrollment in any of our programs does not guarantee graduation, certification, professional endorsement, licensure, employment, or any particular professional outcome. A certificate will be awarded only upon satisfaction of all applicable academic, financial, clinical, administrative, and other program requirements.

Completion of coursework alone does not guarantee certification. Because a certificate bears the name of Institute of Āyurvedic Medicine of Ayurvedic Medicine, we reserve the right to withhold certification where a student’s conduct, professionalism, integrity, or treatment of students, faculty, staff, clients, or members of the broader community is inconsistent with the standards we expect of someone representing this Institute.

We do not certify people simply because they completed the coursework. We certify graduates who have demonstrated that they are prepared to carry the name and values of Institute of Āyurvedic Medicine into the world.

We do not guarantee that any third-party organization, licensing authority, professional organization, employer, or jurisdiction will recognize an Institute program or certificate.

INDEMNITY.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us, our affiliates, owners, stockholders, directors, officers, employees, faculty, contractors, volunteers, and agents harmless from all losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) incurred in connection with any action, suit, proceeding, claim, demand, investigation, or formal or informal inquiry that arises out of or is based upon your use of the Services or your violation of our terms.

DISCLAIMER; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.

OUR SERVICES ARE FOR GENERAL INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. OUR SERVICES DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE AND ARE NOT INTENDED OR IMPLIED TO BE A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS OR TREATMENT. RELIANCE ON OUR SERVICES IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK AND WE HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITIES THAT MAY ARISE AS A RESULT. WE DO NOT MAKE AND HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING EXPRESS, IMPLIED AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES THAT OUR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY’S INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS. OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS”, “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, AND YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. WE HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS BY OUR OTHER CUSTOMERS AND CLIENTS AND OTHER THIRD PARTIES.

IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, COST OF COVER, OR RELIANCE, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF WE ARE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE RIGHT AND REMEDY IN CASE OF DISSATISFACTION WITH OUR SERVICES IS TO DISCONTINUE ACCESS TO AND USE OF OUR SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU IN THE AGGREGATE WITH RESPECT TO ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO OUR SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO ONE MONTH’S FEE PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE PRECEDING 12-MONTH PERIOD.

You hereby waive the right to bring any claim against us arising out of or in any way relating to our Services more than one year after the date such claim arose.

TERMINATION / SUSPENSION.

You may terminate these Terms at any time by closing your account or discontinuing your use of our Services. We may suspend or terminate your account, cease providing our Services or terminate these Terms at any time for any reason, including if you have violated our terms, your conduct is inconsistent with our community standards, or your use of our Services may adversely impact our operations or subject us to liability.

Where we terminate or suspend access because of a violation of these Terms or our community standards, payments already made are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

GOVERNING LAW.

Michigan law governs these Terms without regard to its choice of law or conflict of law provisions. You irrevocably agree to bring all legal actions against us in the courts of the State of Michigan, USA, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

MISCELLANEOUS.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. By continuing to access or use the Services you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

We may also change our tuition, prices, fees, and other charges from time to time as necessary to maintain the sustainability and continued availability of the Institute and its programs. We cannot always predict how the economy will evolve, what our operating costs will be, or what resources will be required to continue providing this education. Because Institute of Āyurvedic Medicine is a shared educational community, changes in costs and circumstances may require changes in pricing so that the Institute can continue to serve the community as a whole. Any pricing, tuition, or fee changes will apply as communicated by the Institute and do not alter the non-refundable nature of payments already made.

If any clause, provision, covenant or condition of these Terms is held to be invalid, unenforceable, or void, the remainder of these Terms remain in full force and effect. The entirety of the agreement between you and us consists of these Terms and any written communications between us memorializing the fees you will pay us for our Services, including the Premium Services. Such written communications are incorporated herein by reference.
