Every Hour. Accounted For.
A complete account of how our curriculum is structured and documented — the hours, the practice cycle behind them, and how that practice is monitored, shared, and recorded.
A Practice-Centered Model.
The live lesson is the anchor, not the center of gravity. Each 90-minute lesson carries a required weekly practice load of at least three hours — often more, since many practices unfold over several days — completed, then shared and discussed. That is where most of the actual learning happens.
Every course follows this same cycle, week after week, for every lesson — the pattern does not vary by subject.
The practice is assigned as part of the live lesson, with a clear task and an expected time commitment.
The student completes the practice independently, on their own schedule, within the week.
The work is submitted or shared in a monitored community space — a written reflection, a case note, a recorded practice, or a discussion post.
The work is reviewed — by faculty, by peers, or both — creating a timestamped, reviewable record of engagement.
The record is retained as evidence that the practice was completed, not simply assigned.
This documentation trail — assignment, completion, submission, review — is what allows monitored independent practice to stand alongside live instruction as genuine instructional time, consistent with how practicum, studio, and lab-based coursework are recognized across accredited education generally.
Every course follows the same minimum structure: a 90-minute live lesson, held once a week for nine weeks, plus a minimum of three hours of required weekly practice.
The Clinical Internship deserves its own explanation. Every client encounter — 75 for the AHC path, an additional 75 for the AP path — is matched one-to-one with an hour of Clinical Internship class, held live online. These sessions are never recorded, so completing an hour means actually attending it. This is separate from the in-person hours required alongside it — 40 for AHC, an additional 140 for AP, for a combined 180 in-person hours at the AP level — completed either with a Preceptor from our worldwide network, or through our NAMACB Bridge Pathway for students pursuing board eligibility. Clinical reasoning also runs throughout the broader curriculum, in courses such as Chikitsa, Bṛṁhaṇa, Panchakarma Theory, and the Vikriti Vijñāna sequence.
Online Clinical Internship hours and in-person hours, combined — the single figure a certification board or partner institution will actually ask for.
A Proctored Exam, Held to a Real Standard.
Completing every course is not the same as certifying that a student is ready to practice. To close that gap, every AHC or AP candidate now sits a comprehensive, level-appropriate final exam, proctored under exam conditions comparable to the NAMACB board exam itself.
This is the final checkpoint, not another course — a direct assurance that a certified student has actually met the standard the curriculum was built to teach, under the same conditions they will eventually be tested under again.
Membership gives you the curriculum. Certification is everything above this line — the hours, the required weekly practice, the documentation trail behind every submission, the review that goes with it, and now, a proctored final exam that holds every candidate to the same standard.
That is real, ongoing work on our side, not a one-time fee for a piece of paper. The price of certification reflects what it actually takes to stand behind it.
Every course, at the standard 40.5-hour minimum structure, across both tracks.
