What are the Subjects in the Ayurvedic Studies Programs?
AYURVEDIC STUDIES: A JOURNEY UNFOLDING
3-Year Professional Program | 1,500 Hours of Study
Ayurveda isn’t meant to be taught in a straight line.
It’s remembered — slowly, reverently.
It lives in the rhythms of your body, in the fire of your digestion,
in the stillness between your breaths.
This is not just a course.
It’s a living lineage.
A professional, three-year journey of study and service designed for those ready to live Ayurveda as a way of life — not a topic of interest.
You’ll begin with your own healing and understanding — the root — and gradually deepen into the art of guiding others, through mentorship, live study, and direct clinical experience.
Throughout the program, you’ll step into leadership through our Circle Leadership Path, learning to teach, host circles, and share Ayurveda in your community while you study.
Along the way, you’ll explore:
-
Food as medicine — nourishment that awakens vitality and steadies the mind.
-
Purification and renewal — of body, mind, and subtle energy.
-
The stories skin tells — and how to listen with insight and compassion.
-
Healing through the feminine arc — bleeding, birthing, and becoming whole.
-
The power of plants, prayer, and practice.
-
Emotions as portals to self-understanding and freedom.
-
Mantra, meditation, and subtle anatomy.
-
Living in rhythm with time, season, and the cosmos.
Through more than 1,500 hours of study you’ll learn to see through the lens of Ayurveda — to witness imbalance, to guide others toward health, and to live this wisdom in your home, your work, and your leadership.
This is not a race or a destination.
It’s a circle — a sacred unfolding that meets you where you are, and walks beside you as you become who you are meant to be.
This is the path for those ready to rise — to embody Ayurveda as healer, guide, and leader, carrying this wisdom forward with integrity, devotion, and purpose.

Can I Start Sharing Ayurveda and Earning an Income Before I Graduate?
Yes — and we hope you do.
At Yoga Veda Institute, we believe Ayurveda isn’t something you wait to live.
It’s something you begin the moment you say yes to this path.
That’s why we created the Circle Leadership Program — an optional paid partnership available exclusively to enrolled students who are ready to begin building meaningful, purpose-driven work now, not someday.
The Circle Leadership Program is a living, breathing invitation to step into your role as a space-holder, circle-keeper, and catalyst for change.
Our students aren’t waiting for permission to begin.
This isn’t a side hustle — it’s a grassroots movement.
Students are forming circles in their homes, yoga studios, clinics, and online — bringing Ayurveda into neighborhoods, families, and global networks.
They’re the spark that lights up others — and yes, they’re getting paid to do it.
They share recipes, daily rituals, insights from class, and reflections from their own journeys.
They build relationships rooted in trust, healing, and heart.
And they earn income doing it — not by teaching what they haven’t mastered,
but by living what they’re learning — openly, honestly, and in community.
As a Circle Leader, you’ll receive:
-
A full toolkit to launch your own Ayurvedic Circle
-
Business guidance that’s practical, spiritual, and aligned
-
Templates, mentorship, and peer support
-
The structure and inspiration to start now — not after graduation
Because here’s the truth:
We don’t measure success in titles or certificates.
We measure it in the number of communities illuminated by our students.
In families nourished, circles formed, and income earned through right livelihood.
In the way you walk through your world — intentionally, Ayurvedically, and alive.
We measure success in the lives touched, the homes healed, and the students — like you — who choose to begin now.
Other schools gatekeep this wisdom.
We co-create.
Because we didn’t build this school to keep the light for ourselves — we built it to pass the torch.
And now, it’s yours.
Ongoing Support & The Circle Leader Path
Graduation isn’t the end of your journey with us — it’s the beginning of a lifelong partnership.
-
Circle Leader Path: Many of our graduates continue to lead Yoga Veda Circles as a way to share Ayurveda in their communities while earning income. As a Circle Leader, you’ll facilitate a program that is already created for you — complete with curriculum, resources, and support — so you can focus on guiding transformation rather than building everything from scratch.
-
Built-In Business Support: You’ll receive training, marketing materials, and ongoing mentorship to help you grow your circle, attract students, and turn your Ayurvedic calling into a sustainable practice.
-
Community of Leaders: Join a network of fellow Circle Leaders and alumni who share ideas, celebrate wins, and collaborate on projects — so you never feel alone as you build your work in the world.
-
Continuing Education: As a graduate, you’ll have access to specialty classes, advanced training, and updated program content, keeping your skills fresh and your offerings relevant.
Through the Circle Leader path, you can continue facilitating this work year after year, creating a ripple effect of healing in your community while building a steady, meaningful source of income.

Who Can Join the Ayurvedic Studies Program?
We welcome dedicated seekers from all walks of life — from seasoned wellness professionals to those taking their very first step into Ayurveda.
What matters most is your commitment to deep learning and your readiness to engage fully in this journey of self-discovery, healing, and professional growth.
No prior experience in Ayurveda is required. However, because our curriculum includes advanced reading, writing, and clinical communication, students should have proficiency in English and the ability to participate in live classes and written assessments.
This path is open to anyone called to study the wisdom of Ayurveda — not as information to collect, but as a way of life to embody.
How much time should I plan to dedicate to my studies?
Your Ayurvedic journey begins the moment you’re ready — and because our program is designed for flexibility, you can set the pace that fits your life.
Average Weekly Commitment:
Most students dedicate 5–10 hours per week, per class, including live sessions, readings, and practice work.
Assignment Load:
Expect a balanced rhythm of hands-on exercises, reflection prompts, quizzes, and midterm or final exams — all designed to deepen your understanding without overwhelming your schedule.
Choose Your Pace:
You may take 1–5 classes each trimester (January, May, September). The number of classes you take determines your completion timeline:
| Pace | Classes per Trimester | Typical Completion Timeline |
|---|---|---|

| Part-Time | 1–2 | ~3–6 years |
Tuition Access:
Because tuition is a one-time investment, you’ll have full access to the program for as long as you need to complete your studies. An Annual Tech & Admin Fee keeps your student portal, live class infrastructure, and course recordings active. Students who progress more quickly naturally pay fewer annual fees over time.
Immediate Access When You Enroll:
Begin right away with instant access to the Foundations Suite and start exploring at your own pace.
Live courses unfold each trimester — January, May, and September — and you may join the next cycle or continue independently until then.
Each trimester is capped at 30 students, and early enrollment guarantees your place in the upcoming cohort.

You’ll have access to a full class recording within your Student Portal so you never miss out.
Attendance & Flexibility

Path to NAMACB Board Certification
Want to Become a NAMACB Board Certified Ayurvedic Professional?
Here’s how it works:
-
Everyone begins in our Ayurvedic Studies Program.
This is your foundation. Here, you’ll study the full Ayurvedic curriculum alongside expert mentors and a global community. As you progress, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with a guidance counselor to explore your goals and the evolving Ayurvedic landscape. If you feel called to pursue formal professional recognition, you may apply to our Professional Certification Track—an additional step designed for those who wish to become board-certified Ayurvedic professionals. -
Each Fall, we open applications for our Professional Certification Tracks.
These tracks are for students who feel called to pursue formal recognition and become board-certified Ayurvedic Practitioners (AP) through NAMACB Board Certification. Please note: NAMACB Board certification is entirely optional and not required to practice Ayurveda. The professional track are available for those whose preference is to take this additional step. -
The pro track builds upon the full Ayurvedic Studies Program and adds the structure and rigor required for board certification. Students follow the same comprehensive curriculum, but with additional requirements such as mandatory live class attendance, in-person clinical mentorship, and formal assessments. These elements are thoughtfully designed to ensure graduates are fully prepared to sit for the NAMACB Board Exam and step into the field as skilled, confident Ayurvedic professionals.
Yoga Veda Institute offers the most flexible clinical training model in the nation. If and when you choose to pursue professional board certification, you’ll find a range of in-person options available to support you, including immersive retreats with faculty, preceptor-led training in your local area, international clinical experiences, and volunteer hours in approved settings. This flexible structure means that when the time comes, you’ll be able to fulfill your clinical training in a way that honors your lifestyle, location, and pace—without ever compromising on depth, quality, or integrity.
-
Our Ayurvedic Practitioner (AP) track is approved in Candidacy with the Ayurvedic Accreditation Commission (AAC).
Candidacy is the first formal step toward full accreditation and is granted only to programs that meet the Commission’s rigorous eligibility standards. As AAC is a relatively new accrediting body, our programs are among the first in the nation to enter Candidacy status—reflecting both our alignment with professional standards and our pioneering role in shaping the future of Ayurvedic education.
100% First-Time Pass Rate
Every Yoga Veda graduate who has chosen to sit for the NAMACB Board Exam has passed on their very first attempt — a 100% pass rate since the exam’s inception.
Taking the NAMACB exam is entirely optional—many students choose not to pursue formal board certification—but for those who do, our program has prepared them to succeed without exception. This perfect pass rate reflects the depth of our curriculum, the rigor of our professional track, and the strong mentorship students receive throughout their training.
Please note: Enrollment in these professional tracks is by application only, and available exclusively to students currently enrolled in the Ayurvedic Studies Program, during the Fall trimester.
Do I Have to Be on a Path Toward NAMACB or Professional Practice?
No. Many of our students study Ayurveda to support themselves, their families, or their communities. The Ayurvedic Studies Program is complete in itself, with or without NAMACB Board certification.
Do I Need to Decide Now if I Want to Become NAMACB Certified?
No. Everyone begins in the Ayurvedic Health Coach Training Program. If and when you later feel called to pursue professional certification and board exam eligibility, you’ll have the opportunity to join for our Professional Certification Track. There’s no pressure to decide now—your journey will guide you.
Our Commitment To This Community
At Yoga Veda Institute, we hold this space as sacred—a community built on wisdom, equity, kindness, and integrity. This is not just a place of learning; it is a path of embodiment. Every word we speak, every interaction we have, and every space we enter should reflect the depth of this calling.
Ayurveda is a living tradition that requires respect, presence, and accountability. As students, you are held to high ethical standards—not just in how you learn, but in how you show up for yourself, for your teachers, this community, and for this sacred science. This is a space for learning, not ego. Your journey is yours to honor, and staying informed, engaged, and proactive is your responsibility. Ayurveda is not something given to you—it is something you step into with reverence and commitment.
Our Shared Agreements:
Kindness, Always – This is a space of healing, wisdom, and conscious engagement. We do not allow negativity, misinformation, or behavior that disrupts the energy of this community. Holding Ayurveda with integrity means embodying its teachings—not just in study, but in action.
Sacred Learning & Professional Integrity – Ayurveda calls for clarity, humility, and devotion. This means engaging with these teachings with respect, professionalism, and accountability. Your actions—both inside and outside this space—reflect the healer you are becoming.
A Protected Space – This space thrives on open inquiry, respectful dialogue, and personal responsibility. Disruptive behavior, divisive rhetoric, or failure to engage with sincerity betrays the trust we hold as a community. Not every teaching will resonate with everyone, but learning begins with self-awareness.
Equity: A Path for All – True fairness is not about treating everyone the same; it is about ensuring access to those called to this path. We recognize that students come from diverse backgrounds, with different opportunities and challenges. Rigid sameness creates barriers, while mindful adjustments create access. We are committed to meeting students where they are, so Ayurveda remains open to all.
Our Commitment to the Community
Maintaining the integrity of this space requires clear boundaries. We reserve the right to remove anyone whose actions disrupt the peace, compromise the integrity of this community, or misalign with the values of Ayurveda—without refund. This is not a decision we take lightly, but one made with care and responsibility to protect the sacred energy of this space.
A Higher Standard, A Higher Calling
If you are here, you are called to something greater. Honor that. Show up with integrity, kindness, and a commitment to truth. Ayurveda is a gift—be a vessel for it, not a distortion of it. This is a community of wisdom and light, and as stewards of Ayurveda, it is our responsibility to keep it that way.
Our Commitment to Transparency & Integrity
At Yoga Veda Institute, we are committed to providing clear, accurate, and up-to-date information to support students throughout their journey. Our policies are designed to ensure fairness, consistency, and alignment with the highest educational standards.
Policies Are Final & Non-Negotiable – All program policies are published on our website, which serves as the primary and official resource for program details and requirements. These policies cannot be modified for individual students. No faculty or staff member has the authority to override these guidelines.
Clarity Over Confusion – If there is ever a discrepancy between staff communications and the website, students are expected to seek immediate clarification. The published policies always take precedence.
Fairness & Accountability – This structured approach ensures that all students are treated equitably and that the program maintains its high professional and ethical standards.
By upholding transparency, consistency, and integrity, we create a learning environment where trust and fairness are at the core of everything we do.
I Still Have Questions. Can I Speak to Someone?
