The Āyurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) is a professional with training that focuses on preventative health care and health promotion, with a specific focus on diet and lifestyle.

The Ayurvedic Health Counselor is a comprehensive course that includes the following (8) term courses with new courses beginning each term (February, May, August, November).  Each 108 – hour course must be completed within a 12-week period.  Each course includes 20 hours of live webinar, 24 hours of recorded supplemental instruction, 22 Hours of Self Study and 22 Hours of client sessions.   

In addition to the subject courses – students engage in a weekly virtual classroom Clinical Assessment & Internship.   This class is ongoing and meets weekly for the duration of the program.  This assures that students meet the case study requirement of 50 patient encounters at the time of graduation.

Get Started Right Away : When you enroll today you’ll begin immediately with the first semester designed to be ongoing & self-paced with Ayur-Yoga Foundations & Ayurvedic Nutrition.  Then, begin the upcoming term with the next course scheduled for your track program.

Time Commitment

Each term is approximately 12 Weeks in length with new courses beginning each term (February, May, August, November).  Students may choose to “fast track” their program by taking 2 classes per term to complete the course in 1 year, or complete one class per term to complete the full program in 2 years.  Students should plan to dedicate approximately 10 hours per week to each term course.

Yoga Veda Institute is a private, post-secondary degree-granting institution recognized by the Florida Department of Education and Florida Commission on Independent Education under the authority of Florida State Statutes, Section 1005.06 and is an approved Continuing Education Provider.  Yoga Veda Institute has been approved as a Professional School of Ayurveda by the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA).

Class Schedule
Web Conference Classes are offered both Live and Recorded for later viewing.  Class are scheduled at times that can best accommodate all students enrolled in each module.  Please check the course calendar for specific class times and dates.

Refund Policy

While we do not award refunds on full tuition payments or payment plans you may cancel your payment plan and withdraw from the program at anytime with no additional fee.  Certificates will not be issued until tuition has been paid in full.

Tuition & Fees

Payment options include ALL required courses for each level.  Course texts are not included in the tuition cost.  

A non-refundable application fee of $108 is charged at the time of application.

Level 1 Track (Year 1) : Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC)

Full Tuition Price : $5970

  • Pay in full $4179 (15% Discount)
  • Quarterly payments: 8 quarterly payments of $746.25
  • Monthly payments: 24 monthly installments of $248.75

**30% Discount** is applicable to students who wish to enroll in Year 1 – $5970 (Ayurvedic Health Counselor) and Year 2  – $5970 (Ayurvedic Practitioner) and pay in full at the time of enrollment bringing the total two-year tuition to $8,358 USD.



Student Conduct & Expectations

Above and beyond all subject matter in this program, this is a lifestyle dedicated to mindful, conscious and compassionate living. We expect these primary principles to be applied to all aspects of students learning experience inside and outside of the classroom.

Due to the nature of the subject of this course and to the high regard we put on living with integrity, honesty, truthfulness and compassion Yoga Veda Institute expects students to understand and maintain high standards of academic integrity. Breaches of academic integrity are subject to review by the Admin Board and may be grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including requirement to withdraw from the School and suspension of registration privileges or revocation of certification. 

Students are expected to conduct themselves responsibly, honestly, and with due consideration for others while enrolled at Yoga Veda Institute as well as in all of their interactions and communications with members of the Yoga Veda community. 

Students are expected to take personal responsibility for their own assignment submissions and tracking, knowing class dates and times of class, understanding their personal track program, requesting curriculum updates as needed.  Yoga Veda Institute expects students to be active and engaged participants. Students registered in a course must attend all classes and participate online, take all exams, and complete all coursework on time.  

Students who are registered for a course and miss the first class meeting risk losing their place in the course. The Institute reserves the right to prohibit or cancel late registration by students who do not attend first class meetings. 

Students are expected to treat web-conference class meetings as if attending class on campus, which includes behaving professionally, treating others with courtesy and respect, refraining from using profanity or socially offensive language, wearing appropriate clothing, and avoiding inappropriate surroundings. 

Students are required to have and use a camera and microphone when attending web-conference class meetings unless otherwise specified by the instructor.

Students may not join a class while driving or riding in a car. Students are expected to join from a suitable, quiet location, with a device that permits full participation in the class activities. Many courses include activities that cannot adequately be performed on a mobile device.
