Prerequisite/Co-requisite
  1. Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program: The Ayurvedic Health Counselor program requires students to fulfill pre/co-requisites in Anatomy & Physiology for graduation. Students are not obligated to complete these courses before enrolling in the program, but they must meet the requirements by the end of the course or within one year after program completion to be eligible for graduation.

To meet the pre/co-requisites for the Ayurvedic Health Counselor program, students must demonstrate the completion of 6 college-level credits or 90 hours of class time in Anatomy & Physiology from a recognized institution. The credits should be specifically awarded at the college level for Anatomy & Physiology.  This is typically an Anatomy & Physiology 1 in addition to Anatomy & Physiology II at the college level.

It is essential to note that a Yoga Training Course that includes Yoga Anatomy & Physiology content will not meet these criteria and will not be counted towards fulfilling the pre/co-requisites. Any credits or hours that fall short of the specified requirement will not be considered, ensuring that students possess a strong foundational knowledge before embarking on their transformative journey in Ayurvedic medicine.

  1. Ayurvedic Practitioner Program: For the Ayurvedic Practitioner program, the pre/co-requisites remain the same as those for the Ayurvedic Health Counselor program. Students are required to complete 6 college-level credits or 90 hours of class time in Anatomy & Physiology from a recognized institution. These credits should be awarded specifically at the college level for Anatomy & Physiology.

As with the Ayurvedic Health Counselor program, completion of a Yoga Training Course with Anatomy & Physiology content will not fulfill the pre/co-requisites. Meeting the specified requirement within the given timeframe is necessary for graduation.

Additionally, if students are enrolling in the Ayurvedic Practitioner program as a stand-alone program (without including the Dual Certification offered by Yoga Veda), they are required to demonstrate a valid and recognized Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) Certification from an accredited school. The approval of AHC certificates will be at the discretion of the Dean, and students may be required to repeat some or all of Yoga Veda's AHC level classes if they seek board certification.Yoga Therapist Program: The Yoga Therapist program does not have pre/co-requisites related to Anatomy & Physiology. However, prospective students must hold a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certificate to be eligible for enrollment.

  1. International Programs: The International Programs do not have pre-requisites for enrollment. Students can join the program without the need to complete specific Anatomy & Physiology requirements or hold a 200-hour RYT certificate.

  2. Yoga Therapist Program: The Yoga Therapist program does not have pre/co-requisites related to Anatomy & Physiology. However, prospective students must hold a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certificate to be eligible for enrollment.

Student Conduct & Expectations

Above and beyond all subject matter in this program, it emphasizes a lifestyle dedicated to mindful, conscious, and compassionate living. These primary principles are expected to be applied to all aspects of the students' learning experience, both inside and outside of the classroom.

Given the nature of this course and the high value placed on integrity, honesty, truthfulness, and compassion, Yoga Veda Institute requires students to uphold high standards of academic integrity. Breaches of academic integrity will be reviewed by the Admin Board and may result in disciplinary action, including potential withdrawal from the School, suspension of registration privileges, or certification revocation.

Students are expected to conduct themselves responsibly, honestly, and with consideration for others throughout their enrollment at Yoga Veda Institute and in all interactions and communications with the Yoga Veda community.

Furthermore, students are responsible for managing their own assignment submissions and tracking, knowing class dates and times, understanding their personal track program, and requesting curriculum updates when necessary. Active and engaged participation is essential, meaning students must attend all classes, participate online, complete all coursework on time, and take all exams.

During web-conference class meetings, students should treat the virtual environment as if they were attending class on campus. This includes behaving professionally, showing courtesy and respect to others, refraining from using profanity or socially offensive language, wearing appropriate clothing, and selecting suitable surroundings for the session.

To ensure effective engagement, students are required to have and use a camera and microphone when attending web-conference class meetings unless the instructor specifies otherwise. Participating from a moving vehicle is not permitted, and students should join the class from a quiet location with a device that allows for full participation, considering that certain activities may not be adequately performed on a mobile device.
