– Week 8 –
Objectives for the current week’s lesson:
Continuing the journey into understanding our bodily tissues in Ayurvedic view, we are going into depth with Meda, Ashti, Majja, Shukra/Artava Dhatus. Ayurveda presents many profound connections physically, emotionally and spiritually about the subject that clinically bring about much insight.

Self-care Assignment Week 8:
Those with a monthly menstrual cycle:
- Keep a 3-month cycle chart and track cycle length (both days, between the start of cycles and duration of bleeding)
- Track any symptoms from a day before and during the bleeding
- Note any PMS symptoms that may occur a week or so beforehand and alleviate once cycle begins
- Note when you first began your cycle and (perhaps when it ended, ie menopause)
- Make a list of any menstrual and premenstrual symptoms, classify them by dosha and guna. Think of ideas in diet and lifestyle to balance them.
- We will return to this in the following modules.
