Do you want to be nationally certified to practice?

The national board exam (NAMACB) is the professional certification for Ayurvedic practitioners in the US. To be eligible, you need to complete supervised clinical hours with a 1:1 mentor called a preceptor. Adding this is optional — both paths are meaningful.

We've moved you to a Professional path — here's why. National certification requires faculty oversight and a formal certificate to protect you and your future clients. We've updated your path to Path 03 — same curriculum you'd have studied, now with your certificate, supervised clinical hours, and certification eligibility included. You can switch back to Path 01 above anytime.

How much will you pay your clinical mentor?

When you enter the clinical phase at YVIAM, you are matched personally with a named Ayurvedic practitioner. They know your name. They read your cases. They guide you one-on-one — not as a group, not on someone else's schedule. A real teacher-student relationship built entirely around you.

This is the Gurukul model — the ancient tradition through which Ayurveda has always been passed forward. One teacher. One student. For five thousand years, this is what it meant to truly learn this medicine.

That is what your mentor fee pays for. We think it's worth every dollar.

About mentor fees

Your mentor is your program.
Their fee reflects that.

Mentor fees go directly to your mentor — not through YVIAM. Each mentor is an independent practitioner who sets their own rate within the published range.

YVIAM matches you personally based on your location and where you are in your studies. The one-time coordination fee ($350/$600) is what YVIAM collects for that match. Every dollar your mentor earns goes directly to them.

This is the Gurukul model — the ancient teacher-student relationship through which Ayurveda has always been transmitted. We are the only school doing this at scale, and we are honored to hold it.
