Student Reactivation Review Request

Enrollment in a professional certification pathway is an active academic relationship, not ongoing access without continued engagement.

For this reason, students returning after extended inactivity are reviewed individually to determine:

  • current readiness for active participation,
  • academic standing,
  • curriculum continuity,
  • completion feasibility,
  • and the most appropriate educational pathway moving forward.

This process is intended to support fairness, academic integrity, student success, and the long-term sustainability of Yoga Veda Institute’s professional educational programs.

Returning After a Period of Inactivity

At Yoga Veda Institute, we understand that life unfolds in seasons. Many students experience periods of personal transition, healing, family responsibilities, financial hardship, health concerns, or major life changes during their educational journey.

Our intention has always been to create a compassionate and accessible learning environment while also maintaining the integrity, quality, and professionalism of our educational programs.

As Yoga Veda Institute continues to grow as a professional educational institution, students enrolled within professional certification pathways are expected to remain actively engaged in their studies through ongoing participation, coursework completion, communication, and academic progression.

Professional Ayurvedic education is not designed to function as passive or indefinite access-based learning. Certification pathways require active participation and continuity in order to support:

  • academic progression,
  • clinical readiness,
  • certification eligibility,
  • program completion,
  • registrar oversight,
  • and compliance with current institutional and accreditation standards.

For this reason, students who have been inactive for one trimester or longer without active participation or formal communication are required to complete a Student Reactivation Review prior to restoring access or resuming participation in professional certification pathways.

Why This Process Exists

Extended inactivity may significantly impact:

  • curriculum continuity,
  • graduation timelines,
  • certification requirements,
  • clinical progression,
  • scholarship eligibility,
  • and academic standing within the institution.

This review process helps our Registrar and Student Services Team better understand:

  • your recent level of participation,
  • your current circumstances,
  • your future educational goals,
  • your readiness to actively re-engage,
  • and the most appropriate educational pathway moving forward.

Important Information

Submission of a Reactivation Review Request does not guarantee:

  • immediate reactivation,
  • reinstatement into a professional certification pathway,
  • grandfathered curriculum status,
  • scholarship continuation,
  • graduation eligibility,
  • or restoration of previous student standing.

Depending on the length of inactivity, participation history, academic progression, communication history, and current readiness for active engagement, students returning after an extended absence may be:

  • reactivated into active standing,
  • placed into a structured reactivation process,
  • required to meet updated curriculum requirements,
  • assessed a reactivation fee,
  • recommended for an alternative educational pathway,
  • or required to re-enroll under current institutional standards.

In some cases, reactivation into a professional certification pathway may not be approved at this time if the student is unable to realistically meet participation and progression expectations required for professional-level training.

Our goal is not to create barriers, but to ensure fairness, academic integrity, and the long-term success of all students within our programs while supporting students in the pathway most appropriate for their current circumstances and level of engagement.

We appreciate your honesty and thoughtful completion of this process.

Before Submitting Your Request

Please be prepared to provide:

  • your participation history,
  • recent coursework activity,
  • your intended educational goals,
  • your current ability to actively participate,
  • and any relevant communication or Leave of Absence history.

Alternative Educational Pathways

Yoga Veda Institute recognizes that not all students returning after a period of inactivity are seeking the same educational outcome or level of professional engagement.

In some cases, students may determine — or the Registrar may recommend — that an Audit, Community Learning, or Personal Enrichment pathway is more aligned with their current availability, goals, lifestyle, or level of participation.

These pathways may allow students to continue learning with Yoga Veda Institute in a manner that is supportive and realistic for their current season of life, while distinguishing such participation from active enrollment within a professional certification pathway requiring ongoing academic progression, clinical participation, and completion requirements.

Students recommended for an alternative educational pathway may not be eligible for:

  • professional certification,
  • board exam eligibility,
  • clinical internship placement,
  • graduation pathways,
  • or transcript-bearing academic standing unless formally re-entering and completing the requirements of a professional certification program under current institutional standards.
