Laura, founder and director of Divine Light Yoga, started her yoga journey at the age of 15 years, with her first and most inspirational yoga teacher, her grandmother, who taught her to be humble and playful in her practice. Originally from the UK, Laura is a long-term traveler and true-adventurer, committed to life-long learning and to sharing her passion and knowledge with others of all ages.

Laura learnt the art of teaching yoga whilst training in India to complete her initial 200-Hour Yoga Teaching certification; Laura continued her learning journey in Thailand where she completed the RYT 300-hour certification in Yin-Yang Yoga with Jivani Yoga and RYT 200-Hour Ayurvedic Yoga in Mexico with Yoga Veda.

Learning under the guidance of many inspirational teachers, Laura has developed a teaching style that enables yogi’s of all levels and ages to feel empowered, confident and inspired in their own practice by combining elements of yoga therapeutics, philosophy and Ayurvedic practices to provide a supportive, healing and playful environment both on and off the mat.

With over 16 years experience of working with children and young people in both educational and therapeutic settings across the UK and Asia, Laura has a wealth of knowledge and a true passion to share her experiences. After discovering the healing effects of yoga and mindfulness, Laura traveled to Bali to complete the Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher certification (RCYT 95-Hour) with Yoga Swaha, to learn how to share yoga and mindfulness with children.

Laura is dedicated to supporting children and young people to become well-balanced, creative, open-minded individuals by sharing the practices and teachings of yoga and Ayurveda in collaboration with key educational philosophies and teaching methodology.
