Ayurvedic Health Counselor
600 HOUR ONLINE · PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
This program teaches students how to use Ayurveda to help others improve their health, daily habits, and overall balance. It is designed for people who want a strong foundation in professional holistic health training.
When Ayurveda Is That Missing Piece
Many people first find Ayurveda because they are looking for answers about their health.
It helps them understand how the body, food, daily habits, and the natural world all work together.
For some, that is just the beginning.
They want to study Ayurveda more deeply and learn how to use it to support others.
The Ayurvedic Health Counselor program is designed for people ready to take that next step.
When Healing Becomes a Path of Service
The Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program is designed for students who feel called to bring the wisdom of Ayurveda into their communities.
Students learn how to:
• recognize patterns of imbalance
• understand the roots of dis-ease
• design personalized lifestyle care
• guide others through sustainable transformation
This training goes beyond theory.
Students learn to observe deeply, listen carefully, and translate Ayurvedic principles into real-world care that supports the whole person — body, mind, and spirit.
How the Program Works
A Mentorship-based Online Learning Experience.
Students move through a hybrid structure combining:
• online pre-recorded coursework
• optional live classes
The learning environment reflects Ayurveda’s traditional teacher-to-student transmission — interactive, relational, and deeply supportive.
Students typically complete the program in 12 months, though pacing is flexible.

A Different Model of Care
Modern healthcare systems often focus on managing symptoms.
Ayurveda takes a different approach.
It looks at the root causes of imbalance — including digestion, lifestyle, stress patterns, environment, and emotional health.
Ayurvedic Health Counselors work at this foundational level, helping individuals restore balance through practical daily practices rooted in nature.
This is lifestyle medicine as Ayurveda intended it.
The Pathway Forward
After Graduation
Graduates receive the certificate:
Ayurvedic Health Counselor
Many graduates go on to:
• work with lifestyle clients
• integrate Ayurveda into wellness practices
• collaborate with integrative health professionals
• teach community workshops
• continue into advanced clinical training
For those wishing to deepen their clinical scope, graduates may apply to the Ayurvedic Practitioner Program.
Outcomes & Certification
Upon completion of coursework and pathway requirements, students receive the Certificate: Ayurvedic Health Counselor, reflecting professional clinical training in assessment, care planning, and individualized therapeutic lifestyle support.
Graduates are prepared to work with clients through structured Ayurvedic care frameworks — including intake, imbalance analysis, therapeutic nutrition, herbal strategy, and foundational clinical intervention.
Ayurvedic Health Counselor graduates may also:
• Sit for the NAMACB Board Exam
• Enter clinical practice within defined scope
• Participate in the Institute’s Circle Leader Program
• Enter the Stewardship Pathway
• Deepen through in-person Mentorship immersion
Those who feel called to expand clinically may continue into the Ayurvedic Practitioner pathway which is available to our AHC graduates.
Who This Pathway Is For
This pathway often attracts people who already work in wellness or healing professions. Ayurveda is often the missing piece that ties all that education into real wisdom.
Examples include:
• wellness coaches
• holistic practitioners
• nutrition professionals
• herbalists
• nurses and allied health professionals
• yoga teachers
• bodyworkers
It is also appropriate for those who simply feel a deep calling to study Ayurveda and bring its principles into meaningful service.
This is where service becomes personalized, and therapeutically grounded.

Meet Our Founder
A Personal Note from Jacky Rae
I came to Ayurveda as a student first.
More than a decade ago, I was sitting exactly where many of our students begin—searching for a deeper understanding of health, healing, and life itself. That search eventually led me to India, where my journey with Ayurveda truly began.
What I discovered there was not just knowledge.
Ayurveda was shared through relationship, rhythm, and lived experience—through time spent with teachers, through observation, and through the gradual unfolding of understanding.
Over the years, through study, mentorship, and learning from extraordinary teachers, a vision began to take shape:
Not simply a school—but a living curriculum.
A way of learning Ayurveda that could be experienced over time.
A structure that supports students not just in understanding the teachings, but in living them—through guidance, community, and practice.
That vision became what we now call the Living Ayurveda Curriculum™.
My role here is not to position myself as the expert.
I see myself as a curator, gardener, and steward of this space—someone who gathers the right teachers, tends the learning environment, and supports the unfolding of a community rooted in this work.
The curriculum is the container.
The teachers are the guides.
The experience is what transforms.
Ayurveda heals.
My work is simply to help create the conditions where this wisdom can be shared, practiced, and lived.
In service, Jacky Rae (co-founder & your guide)
Our Most Common Questions - Answered
Ready to embrace Ayurveda and take the next step? Below, you’ll find all the information you need to make an informed and heartfelt decision about joining us on this path of healing and transformation.
What is the tuition cost?
Every comparable Ayurvedic program at this level charges for physical facilities, campuses, and overhead you will never once step foot in. We are online by design — and we pass every dollar of that directly to you.
Same depth. Same faculty. Same clinical rigor. A fraction of the cost.
We want you to feel that the moment you arrive. Experience our Ayurvedic Curriculum risk free for 30 days.
Each program offers a monthly payment plan and a pay-in-full option:
- Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC): $435/month × 12, or $4,750 in full (save $470)
- Ayurvedic Practitioner (AP): $525/month × 14, or $6,750 in full (save $600)
- Dual Certification (AHC + AP): $425/month × 24, or $9,200 in full (save $1,000)
Tuition includes platform access for your first year of study. After that, continued access is available at $500/year.
What certification will I receive?
That depends on the path you choose — and you don't have to decide at enrollment.
All students begin the same program. As you progress, you'll have a sense of where you want to take it:
- Online study → Certificate in Ayurvedic Studies
- In-person training → Ayurvedic Health Counselor or Ayurvedic Practitioner certificate, with eligibility to sit for the NAMACB Board Exam
Most students start online and decide later whether they want to pursue the in-person pathway for full professional credentialing.
What is the in person pathway?
For students who want to practice professionally and become eligible for the NAMACB Board Exam, in-person training is required.
This includes clinical mentorship, hands-on case work, and experiential hours completed with guidance and support. It's an intentional next step — not something you need to commit to on day one.
Clinical hours required for NAMACB eligibility:
- AHC: 40 hours
- AP: 140 hours
- Dual Certification: 180 hours
If this is your goal, we recommend flagging it early so we can help you plan your path.
How does the program work?
Everything is available online and on-demand. All course material is recorded, so you can study whenever it works for you.
Live classes run on a regular schedule and you're welcome to join them — but they're optional. Every live session is also recorded, so you never fall behind.
How long does it take to complete?
Most students finish in about 12 months, studying around 10 hours per week. The program is self-paced, so you can move faster or slower depending on your life.
- AHC: ~12 months
- AP: ~12–18 months
- Dual Certification: ~18–24 months
If you need more time, you're welcome to continue beyond the standard period. Platform access remains available at $500/year.
Are there any additional costs I should know about?
Yes — a few things to plan for:
- Textbooks and materials: $150–$300 (AHC) or $200–$400 (AP/Dual)
- Platform access after year one: $500/year
- In-person clinical training: arranged separately, if pursued
- Anatomy & Physiology: 6 credits required before graduation (can be completed alongside your studies)
Are scholarships available?
Yes — scholarshipsare offered throughout the year as part of our commitment to making Ayurvedic education accessible.
These supported spaces are intentionally limited and released through designated Scholarships.
Because resources are finite, scholarship placements are reserved for students experiencing genuine financial barriers to study
For students able to enroll at standard tuition, doing so helps sustain the scholarship ecosystem and supports broader educational access within the community.
Do I need prior experience?
No. The AHC program is designed to meet you where you are. The AP program requires completion of an AHC program (or equivalent) first.
Can I do this program while working or managing other responsibilities?
Yes — most students do. The program is fully online and self-paced, with no mandatory live sessions. Most people dedicate around 10 hours per week.
Will I have support throughout?
Yes. Support includes academic guidance, mentorship calls, peer community, and regular Satsang gatherings. As your training deepens, clinical mentorship is available for those pursuing the in-person pathway.
What happens the moment I enroll?
You receive instant access to the full curriculum — every course, every lesson, every resource — immediately upon enrollment. No waiting, no orientation required before you begin. Your path is open the moment you say yes.
What is Orientation and do I need to attend?
Orientation is held on the first Monday of every month and is one of the warmest ways to begin. We walk you through the portal, introduce you to the community, and make sure you feel fully held as you enter. It is not required — but students who attend tell us it changed everything about how they experienced the program. We highly recommend it.
Is everything pre-recorded?
Yes. The full curriculum is pre-recorded, which means you study on your schedule — early mornings, quiet evenings, the hour that belongs only to you. In addition, many courses are also offered as live classes, and community gatherings happen throughout the year. We love when students join them. They are never a requirement — but they have a way of becoming the highlight of the journey.
How do I begin?
Enrollment is open.
