Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) & AYURVEDIC Practitioner (AP) Tracks

Our Professional Practice Track is open exclusively to currently enrolled Ayurvedic Studies students and accepts new applicants once per year, each Fall. The next enrollment cycle begins in 2026.

This track is for those who feel deeply called to become board-certified Ayurvedic professionals, with the goal of sitting for the National Ayurvedic Medical Association Certification Board (NAMACB) Exam. While it shares the same rich curriculum as our Ayurvedic Studies Program, it includes additional requirements—such as mandatory live class attendance, in-person clinical mentorship, and formal assessments—to ensure students are fully prepared for professional practice.

It’s a path of devotion, discipline, and deep embodiment—crafted for those ready to carry Ayurveda forward with clarity, skill, and heart.

Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC)

600 Hours | Professional Practice Track

Graduates of the Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) program are prepared to provide individualized Ayurvedic lifestyle and wellness support within a scope that includes diet and nutrition, daily and seasonal routines, Ayurvedic herbs, and supportive yogic practices. Grounded in classical Ayurvedic education and trained in client-centered communication, AHCs are equipped to assess prakriti and vikriti (constitution and current state of imbalance), offer personalized guidance, and support clients in cultivating long-term health and balance through preventive Ayurvedic care.

This 600-hour professional program meets the competency standards outlined by the Ayurvedic Accreditation Commission (AAC) for Ayurvedic Health Counselors and prepares graduates to sit for the NAMACB Board Exam, should they choose to pursue certification. Upon completion, students are able to integrate Ayurvedic counseling into professional wellness settings or begin their own practice rooted in authentic, client-focused care.

Ayurvedic PRACTITIONER (AP)

1500 Hours | Professional Practice Track

Graduates of the Ayurvedic Practitioner (AP) program are trained to provide comprehensive, individualized care through the full scope of Ayurvedic assessment and treatment planning. Building upon the Ayurvedic Health Counselor competencies, APs are equipped to work with a wide range of imbalances and conditions through advanced clinical skills, including Ayurvedic pathology, disease management, herbal formulations, and hands-on therapies, when permitted within their scope of practice.

This 1500-hour program includes extensive academic study, clinical mentorship, and supervised practicum experiences designed to develop confident, competent practitioners who embody the principles of Ayurveda in both personal practice and professional service. The program meets the educational competencies outlined by the Ayurvedic Accreditation Commission (AAC) for Ayurvedic Practitioners and prepares graduates to sit for the NAMACB Board Exam, supporting professional recognition in the field of Ayurvedic medicine.

“Love the experience I had here, relationships I built and knowledge I have learned from this incredible school.”
