Teach. Mentor. Earn

You already have the community, the expertise, and the clinical space. Mentorship is the heart of this program. Ayurveda was never meant to be taught from a distance. The Gurukul tradition is live and well at Yoga Veda Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine. We provide the online curriculum, resources, the recognition, the administrative load, and the rest of the things exceptional teachers should not have to carry. We empower you to make Ayurveda accessible to your community.

Become a Preceptor — Yoga Veda Institute

Four steps.
That's it.

1

You get
your own page.

A dedicated landing page, designed for your community. Your name. Your pathway. Your link. Students from your world — yoga teachers, wellness practitioners, workshop graduates — enroll directly through it.

2

They enroll.
You earn.

Up to $2,400 per AHC student, more for AP. Paid monthly as they pay — or as a lump sum if they pay in full. No invoicing. No chasing. Automatic.

3

You oversee
their clinical hours.

When they're ready, they train with you. Your format. Your schedule. We provide the structure, the rubrics, and the support. You are never placed with a student and left alone.

4

They graduate
board-certified.

Every student who completes the program is eligible for NAMACB board certification. You launched their career. That reflects on the standing of your mentorship — permanently.

AP — Āyurvedic Practitioner
Deeper
formation.
More.

AP students commit to a longer, deeper clinical relationship — 180 in-person hours across 34 months. Your earnings reflect that.

Exact figures discussed on your call. Always more than AHC.

Three ways
to supervise.

Retreat

Intensive immersion — a weekend, a week, or a month. Students fulfill their in-person clinical requirement in one concentrated experience. High income per cohort. Defined time commitment.

Training Site

Your existing clinic. Students rotate alongside you — observing, assisting, developing real clinical skills. No special setup. Your clinic is already doing this work.

Mentorship

1:1 or small group. In-person sessions combined with virtual supervision and case review. Flexible scheduling. Deep clinical relationship. Ideal for specialists.

Everything
you're wondering.

Do I need to be an AHC or AP to qualify?
AHC or AP credential is the clearest path. But we also approve supervisors with deep clinical Āyurvedic experience who may hold different credentials — MD, BAMS, TCM, or other recognised clinical training alongside genuine Āyurvedic knowledge. If you're unsure, start with the form. We'll tell you honestly.
When do I get paid?
30 days after your student enrolls, payments begin. If your student pays monthly, you receive your share monthly. If they pay in full, you receive your share in full at 30 days. Automatic. No invoicing required.
What does supervising actually involve?
Case study reviews (written feedback on student submissions, spread across the placement), supervised clinical hours (students observe your consultations, you observe and debrief theirs), two structured progress assessments using our rubrics, and a final recommendation. We provide all forms and frameworks. You provide the mentorship.
How many students can I take?
You decide. There is no minimum and no maximum imposed by us. Most preceptors begin with one or two students to find their rhythm, then expand. You control your capacity entirely.
What if a student doesn't complete the program?
Payments stop when payments stop. You keep everything received to that point. The agreement is clear on this — no clawbacks, no complications.
Do I need to find my own students?
Your link does the work. Share it with your community — yoga students, workshop participants, practitioners already in your world. They enroll through your page. You don't need to advertise or cold recruit. The students who come to you already know you.
What support does Yoga Veda Institute provide?
Ongoing training for preceptors, full documentation and rubric support, a dedicated contact at YVIAM throughout every placement, and your listing in the Clinical Pathways directory. You are never administering this alone.
Is there a contract?
Yes — a Clinical Training Agreement. It covers your responsibilities, your earnings, what happens if a student exits, and the referral structure. You receive it before signing. No one commits to anything they haven't read in full.
I don't hold an Āyurvedic credential but I have deep experience. Can I still apply?
Yes — start the conversation. We evaluate supervisors on a combination of credential, clinical depth, and genuine Āyurvedic knowledge. If you have the last two in abundance, we want to talk.

You, probably.
Read and see.

AHC or AP credential — you qualify.
Deep clinical experience with genuine Āyurvedic knowledge — you qualify.
Active practice with real patients and a varied caseload.
A community of students, practitioners, or graduates who trust you and would study through your pathway.
A supervised environment — clinic, retreat venue, or structured mentorship space.
Something else entirely? Start the conversation. We may still be a fit.

We are always looking for amazing teachers, stunning locations, and for authentic people who share our love of making quality Ayurvedic education accessible.
